Three things you can make in your carbon steel frying pan

Looking for inspiration on what you can make in your carbon steel frying pan - or for delicious dishes where the pan's fantastic frying properties really shine?

Here we show three of our favorite dishes that you (and your guests) will definitely love!

1. The perfect steak

It probably won't come as a big shock to you that steak has earned its place on this list - it might even be the reason you acquired this fantastic pan?

When you're going to fry a steak, it's first and foremost important that the pan you use can reach a high temperature - and furthermore, it's just as important that the pan can maintain the temperature after the steak has been placed in the pan.

You get these properties with a carbon steel frying pan!

With this pan at hand, you'll be able to make the crispiest sear with a delicious caramelized surface and a perfect pink center - every time!

2. Frittata with mushrooms, tomato and pancetta

Our carbon steel frying pan is handmade in Italian carbon steel of the highest quality.

So what better way to honor Italian craftsmanship than to make a delicious Italian specialty in the pan - namely Frittata!

If you're not already familiar with the term "Frittata", it's the Italians' answer to an omelet.

Frittata can be made in many different variations - all with delicious ingredients from the vegetable kingdom.

Our favorite is this delicious frittata with mushrooms, tomato and pancetta - and it's supreme to make in your carbon steel frying pan.

First you fry the pancetta until it has a crispy, caramelized surface, then you add the remaining ingredients and finish cooking the egg mixture in the oven.

3. Fritto Misto di Mare

Another Italian classic that is simple and incredibly delicious!

Mixed fried shellfish is one of the most delicate dishes you can make in your carbon steel pan - if you ever venture into this dish once, it will definitely not be the last.

You can completely choose which shellfish you want to fry in the pan (we like shrimp and squid).

The most important thing is just that you can maintain an even temperature so the coating becomes crispy rather than boring and "floury".
Therefore, it's obvious to make the dish in a carbon steel pan, where the heat is easy to control.
