Refund Policy

Terms of Purchase

The terms of purchase apply to consumers' purchase of goods on gastrotools.com. The site is owned and operated by:

Payment

Payment can be made using the following payment methods: VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Union Pay, PayPal and Klarna. When paying by card the payment will be reserved in your account in accordance with the terms of your card until we withdraw or reject the payment. The amount will be deducted when the item is dispatched.

The amount will be charged when the item is shipped.

If multiple items are ordered, and one or more items cannot be delivered immediately, we will only charge for the item(s) when they are shipped.

 

Delivery

We deliver goods to addresses in Europe. Goods are delivered 2 to 5 days after your order.


Available delivery methods depend on the country you’re ordering from:

Right of Withdrawal

You can withdraw your purchase without justification within 30 days. If you purchased multiple items in one order, you can choose to withdraw from some or all items. We do not refund delivery costs for partial withdrawal.

The withdrawal period expires 30 days after the day you, or another person you have chosen to receive the item (not the carrier), physically receives the item.

If you have ordered multiple items in one order and we cannot deliver them simultaneously, the withdrawal period starts from the day you receive the last item.

If the period ends on a public holiday, Saturday, Constitution Day, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve, the deadline is extended to the next working day.

How to Withdraw

To withdraw, you must notify us clearly. For example, you can send a letter or email to notify us at Gastrotools ApS, Baggesensgade 4C, 2., 2200 Copenhagen N, tel.: +45 71 99 51 70, info@gastrotools.dk.

You cannot withdraw by refusing to accept the item or failing to collect it without simultaneously notifying us of your withdrawal.

You can use the legal standard withdrawal form included at the end of these terms, but it is not mandatory.

Alternatively, you can fill out a withdrawal form on our website here: https://app.claimlane.com/c/gastrotools.com. If you do so, we will immediately acknowledge receipt of your withdrawal via email.

The withdrawal period is observed if you send your withdrawal notice before the deadline expires.

Returning the Item and Return Costs

If you withdraw your purchase, you must return or hand over the item to PakkecenterNORD C/O Gastrotools ApS, Østre Fælledvej 11, 9400 Nørresundby, Denmark without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you return the items before the 14 days expire.

Items cannot be returned cash on delivery or without home delivery.

Refund of Money Upon Withdrawal

When you withdraw, we refund all payments received from you, including any delivery costs. This does not apply to additional costs incurred if you chose a more expensive delivery method than the cheapest delivery method we offer.

If you purchased multiple items in an order and only withdraw from part of your purchase, we do not refund delivery costs.

The amount will be refunded without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date we receive your withdrawal notice. However, we may withhold the refund until we receive the items or documentation that the items have been returned.

We make such refunds using the same payment method you used for the original transaction unless you have explicitly agreed otherwise. Under no circumstances will you be charged any fees for the refund.

Condition of the Item and Packaging

You are only liable for any diminished value of the item resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the item. You can usually examine and try the item in the same way as in a physical store.

You should return the item in its original packaging. The packaging may be opened but not damaged. Missing or damaged packaging may result in a deduction in value for which you are liable.

Additionally, you should ensure the item is securely packaged when returning it. You bear the risk for the package/items until we receive them. Therefore, keep the postal receipt and any track-and-trace number.

Complaints - If Something is Wrong With the Item or Service

The Danish Sale of Goods Act applies if you purchase a product, a digital service, or a digital content, and there is a defect in the purchased item. A defect could be a material or manufacturing defect or incorrect information about the product you purchased. Normal wear and tear or self-inflicted damage is not considered a defect.

You can complain about defects in the product or service within two years from the delivery date. Complaints should be directed to our customer service at info@gastrotools.dk. You must contact us within a reasonable time after discovering the defect. For transport damage, please notify us as soon as possible. If you contact us within two months after discovering the defect, your complaint will always be timely.

We ask you to describe the problem as detailed as possible and, if applicable, include pictures of the defect. If we need to inspect the item, it should be sent to:

You can obtain a free shipping label from our website here: https://app.claimlane.com/c/gastrotools.com. If you choose to return the item yourself, we will reimburse your reasonable and documented shipping expenses, up to the maximum cost of using our shipping label.

The item must be sent in secure packaging.

Complaint Options

If we cannot agree on your entitlement, you have the following complaint options:

A complaint about a product or service can be submitted to Nævnenes Hus, Mediation Team for Consumer Complaints, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, via the Complaint Portal for Nævnenes Hus. The mediation team will try to resolve the dispute through mediation, and if this is unsuccessful, you can refer the complaint to the Consumer Complaints Board.

As a general rule, the product or service you want to complain about must have cost at least 1,110 DKK and no more than 100,000 DKK. For complaints about clothing and shoes, the price must generally be at least 720 DKK. A fee is required to have the complaint processed.

The EU Commission's online complaint portal can also be used to submit a complaint. This is particularly relevant for consumers residing in another EU country. Complaints can be submitted here: http://ec.europa.eu/odr. When submitting a complaint, you must provide our email address: info@gastrotools.dk.

Other Terms

Gift Cards

Gift cards for gastrotools.com are valid for two years after issuance. Any remaining balance can be redeemed within one year after the gift card's expiration.
